Identify members, link them to orders, and keep table names in sync at the Clover POS
Overview
Member Link is a Clover Android app for merchants with private memberships — such as private bars, social clubs, and member-only dining venues. It lets staff scan a membership card to open a tab, attach a member to an in-progress order, and keep table names in sync with the member seated at each table.
Key Features
- Scan to Open Tab: Scan a member's card to open a new order with the customer already attached. No manual customer search at a busy bar.
- Assign from Payment Screen: A dedicated Member Link button on the Clover payment screen lets staff attach or remove a member on any open order without leaving Register.
- Table Names in Sync: When a member is seated at a numeric table, Member Link updates the table name to include the member's name and member number. The name reverts when the order closes.
- Works with Existing Systems: Member Link identifies members by an external member ID stored in the Clover customer note. Next Rev offers a one-time migration as part of onboarding.
How It Works
- Install Member Link from the Clover App Market.
- Open the app on your Clover device. Member Link syncs all member records from your Clover customers on first launch and refreshes every 24 hours.
- From the Member Link home screen, scan a member's card or search by name or number to open a new order for that member.
- On the Clover payment screen during an in-progress order, tap the Member Link button to attach or remove a member on the order.
- When members are seated at numeric Clover Dining tables, table names update automatically to show who is seated there.
Requirements
Member Link works on Clover Station, Mini, Flex, and Flex Pocket devices. Each Clover customer must have their member number stored in the customer note field. Next Rev provides a one-time migration service during onboarding to populate this data from your existing membership system.
