This Privacy Policy describes how Next Rev Inc. ("Next Rev", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data on behalf of our customers — typically merchants (any, a "Merchant") — in connection with the applications listed below.
This Privacy Policy applies to the following Next Rev applications, which are installed on a merchant's point-of-sale system (the "Platform" or "POS System"):
This Privacy Policy does not apply to Next Rev's privacy practices in any other context, including other software or services Next Rev may provide under separate agreement.
By using either application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Next Rev acts as a service provider to the Merchant. The Merchant is the controller of the personal data held in their account on the Platform, and determines what data exists there and how it is used. Next Rev's applications read and write that data on the Merchant's behalf, on the Merchant's own device, to provide the functionality described in Section 2.
This Privacy Policy is not a substitute for any privacy policy a Merchant may be required to provide to their own customers, personnel, or other individuals.
Member Link runs on your POS device and accesses merchant data on the Platform to identify members and link them to orders. It does not send data to any Next Rev servers.
Terminal Settlement Report runs on your POS device and accesses merchant data on the Platform to produce a per-shift cash drawer reconciliation receipt for the bartender. It does not send data to any Next Rev servers.
Our device-only apps do not collect technical or usage data. The Platform may independently collect device diagnostics as part of its operating system, which is governed by the Platform's own privacy policy.
Our applications do not use cookies, web beacons, or any comparable tracking technology.
Member Link and Terminal Settlement Report are native applications installed on the POS device. They are not web applications, they contain no embedded browser or web view, and they display no web content. Specifically:
The applications do handle identifiers supplied by the Platform — such as merchant, employee, order, and customer identifiers — because they are required to perform the task the user has requested, for example attaching the correct member to the correct order. These identifiers are read from and written to the Merchant's own account on the Platform, are used only for the operation being performed, and are never used to build a profile or to recognize an individual across other services.
Our website at nxtrev.com is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may maintain standard server logs, which are outside our control and are not used by us to identify visitors.
Our current apps (Member Link and Terminal Settlement Report) access merchant data on the device to provide their functionality but do not collect, store, or process any data on Next Rev servers. There is no data sent to Next Rev to use, share, or process.
If either application is ever changed to send data to Next Rev, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that change is released.
We do not share any personal data because our current apps do not collect any. Specifically:
Our current apps do not store any data on external servers. All app functionality runs locally on your POS device. No accounts are required and no data leaves the device.
Next Rev retains no personal data, because none is transmitted to us. Data read by our applications remains in the Merchant's own account on the Platform and is retained under the Platform's terms, not ours.
Member Link keeps a member-number dictionary cached on the device so it can operate when the Platform is unreachable. That cache is derived entirely from the Merchant's own customer records, is overwritten on each refresh, and is deleted when the app is uninstalled. Terminal Settlement Report retains nothing at all — each report is computed on demand and discarded when the screen closes.
Because our apps do not collect personal data, Next Rev holds no personal data to access, correct, delete, or export. You may uninstall any Next Rev app at any time through your POS System's app marketplace.
If Next Rev receives a request from a Merchant's customer or personnel seeking to exercise rights under applicable privacy laws in connection with our apps, we will redirect the requester to the Merchant and will reasonably assist the Merchant in responding. As described in Section 1.2, the Merchant is the controller of that data. Merchants may request assistance at support@nxtrev.com.
If you have a complaint about our handling of personal data, contact us at support@nxtrev.com.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because our current apps do not collect personal information, these rights are not applicable. We do not sell personal information.
Our applications are business tools. They are installed on point-of-sale devices, are operated by a Merchant's staff in a commercial setting, and are neither directed to nor intended for use by children.
Next Rev does not knowingly collect, receive, or store personal information from any child under the age of 13, as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), or from any minor under the age of 16. Because our applications transmit no data to Next Rev at all, as described in Sections 2 through 7, we hold no personal information about any individual of any age.
Any customer, member, or personnel records our applications read remain in the Merchant's own account on the Platform. As described in Section 1.2, the Merchant is the controller of that data and determines what it contains. If a Merchant's records include information relating to a minor, that information stays with the Merchant and is never received by Next Rev.
Next Rev does not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined by the CCPA and other applicable privacy laws. This includes the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age, for whom such laws require affirmative opt-in consent, and of children under 13, for whom they require verifiable parental consent. We do not engage in the activity to which those consent requirements apply.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Next Rev directly, contact us at support@nxtrev.com and we will delete it promptly. Requests concerning information held in a Merchant's account should be directed to that Merchant, as described in Section 8.2.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
