Server Settlement Report

The settlement report shows whether the house owes the server cash, or the server owes the house cash back.

1. Open the Shifts app from the home screen
2. Tap the row for the latest shift
3. If holding cash sales, ensure the Holding cash sales box is checked
4. To declare cash tips, tap the pencil next to Cash in the Tips section → enter the amount
5. Servers only — see the Sales by Label section for the sales breakdown. Use this to calculate the tip out amount.
6. Tap Print report
7. Check the Estimated Cash Settlement section. Added a 20% gratuity? Fix this number first — see below. If the house owes the server cash, hand a copy of the report to the bartender for tip payout.

If you added a 20% gratuity (service charge) for large tables

Estimated Cash Settlement will be wrong.

Clover prints your Service Charges total on the report, but does not factor it into the Estimated Cash Settlement number. The club pays your service charges to you in cash, just like a credit card tip.

Find your Service Charges total on the report. Then use the one below that matches you. This applies to cash sales too.

If the report says YOU OWE THE HOUSE

Subtract your service charges.

You owe less than the report says.

If the report says THE HOUSE OWES YOU

Add your service charges.

The house owes you more than the report says.

If you owe the house, but your service charges are bigger

Subtract them anyway. You go past zero, and that flips it around — now the house owes you.

You owe $10.00. Your service charges are $15.00. The house owes you $5.00.
